A Friend In Need is proud to support Hope and Homes for Children – a Salisbury-based charity which has been working on behalf of vulnerable children in Eastern Europe and Africa for more than a decade.

We support the charity’s work in caring for children who have been orphaned or abandoned as a result of war, poverty or HIV/AIDS by making a donation every time an order is placed through our website.

Hope and Homes for Children has helped provide a family and a future for more than 10,000 children but there are still more than one million children in state institutions in Eastern Europe growing up in poverty, fear and misery. Millions more are orphaned by war and conflict, and it is estimated that by 2010 there will be 20 million children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Africa.
